David is the founder and President of DES Financial Group LLC. Former self-taught Engineer, Project Manager and Professional Services General Manager in the high-tech industry, David worked his way through school and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton in 1996. Prior to starting DES Financial Group, David was the successful Branch Manager of an Edward Jones office for 7 years, growing the business from scratch to serving over 170 families. After gaining a thorough knowledge of the brokerage and advisory industry, David completed the Certified Financial Planning Program at the University of California, Irvine and subsequently received his CFP® designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards in 2006. David also holds Series 7, 63, and principal (series 24) registrations with LPL Financial and founded DES Financial Group, LLC, a registered investment advisory firm. David has been an active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) since completing his CFP® and has served on the boards of the Orange County Chapter of the FPA, the Fullerton College Foundation, the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce, and as past president of Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary. A native Southern Californian, David has a unique style of down-to-earth entrepreneurial hard work and integrity with the ability to communicate complex topics in a straightforward manner. Being in the industry for over 19 years and drawing from his technical, managerial, and financial backgrounds David brings a great deal of experience and passion to DES Financial Group, LLC.
